Akiane Kramarik’s painting, “Prince of Peace,” is a breathtaking portrayal of Jesus, completed when she was just 8 years old. This remarkable artwork, which was stolen, mistakenly sold, and hidden for 16 years, has recently resurfaced.
Now 28, Akiane is a best-selling author and philanthropist. She created “Prince of Peace” from a deep, persistent inspiration. “It comes from God. His voice is soft and lovely,” she explained.
Despite being raised in a non-religious home in Idaho, Akiane experienced a sudden spiritual awakening that astonished her family. Her mother, Forelli Kramarik, noted that they didn’t attend church or talk about God.
Akiane’s vision of a carpenter spurred her to create the painting. She vividly remembers searching for a model resembling Jesus. After praying, a carpenter who looked like Jesus appeared at their door, confirming her vision.
Following extensive legal battles, Akiane reclaimed the painting and sold it to a private collector. Today, “Prince of Peace” is displayed at the Belóved Gallery in Marble Falls, Texas. Reflecting on its return, Akiane expressed, “It’s still surreal to me… Love is incredibly potent.”
