Hamamat Montia is a Ghanaian model who ditched city life to build a successful business in her village.

She lived in the city with her husband and her 2 children, but life took an unexpected turn. However, she did not give up, and not only changed her life but the whole village’s too.

Her life became challenging after her ex-husband left her alone with her children in the city. She did not have much savings left, and as a single mother, she had to find another solution to survive.

Hamamat was only left with pure passion and wanted to turn her and her kids’ lives for the better.

She decided to ditch city life and return to her family’s village in Ghana. It was the best decision ever! Not only was she happy to meet her family after so much time, but they started doing daily activities together.

She felt so inspired that she started sharing her new life on social media. Not everything was shiny. Some of her old friends started calling her names, knowing her previous city life.

Her family was known for making their own shea butter. One time, Hamamat recorded the process and shared it on Instagram. It was the start of a beautiful journey. The video gained a lot of views and popularity, and she decided to learn how to make it herself.

She created a brand called Hamamat African Beauty, and they sell handmade shea butter worldwide! Montia even became part of the African economic forum.

Before, she used to be a model but stopped. However, she thought it was time to make a comeback. Known also for her beauty, she has even more supporters.

Hamamat opened the first Shea Butter Museum in her village. They allow visitors to enjoy a shea butter spa, too.

Our beautiful Ghanaian lady went through a lot. However, her passion, persistence, and motivation made her a successful single-mom entrepreneur who also helped her whole village.
