The FBI has released a poignant letter written by Gabby Petito to her then-boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, before her untimely death, as per E! News. Gabby, 22, went missing in August 2021 during a road trip with Brian. Her parents reported her missing on September 11 after losing contact with her. Brian, who had returned home without her, was soon named a person of interest.
Gabby’s remains were found on September 19, and the case took a dark turn as Brian went on the run, eventually taking his own life. A diary found with his body included a confession to Gabby’s murder. Among the newly released documents is Gabby’s heart-wrenching letter to Brian.

Gabby’s body was discovered in a remote area of a Wyoming national park, with the cause of death determined to be strangulation.
