Yummy Cream Cheese Crisps with Only 2 Ingredients
These Cream Cheese Crisps have become one of my favorite homemade snacks.
I’ve always loved crunchy snacks, but lately I’ve been trying to avoid the carb-heavy crackers that somehow disappear from the pantry in a day. The problem is, once you get used to that satisfying crunch, it’s hard to give it up.
If you’ve spent any time looking at low-carb or keto recipes online, you’ve probably come across them already. Cream Cheese Crisps look surprisingly fancy, almost like something you’d order alongside a cheese board at a café, yet they’re made with just two simple ingredients you probably already have at home. Every time I make them for family gatherings, they vanish within minutes. In fact, people usually finish the tray before dinner even hits the table.
The best part? They require almost no effort, and the oven does nearly all the work.
There is something almost magical about what happens during baking.
Cream cheese contains both moisture and fat. As it bakes in a hot oven, the moisture quickly evaporates while the fat melts and begins browning the milk solids. The result is a light, golden crisp with beautifully toasted edges and a delicate crunch.
No flour.
No breadcrumbs.
No complicated techniques.
Just a simple transformation that turns ordinary cream cheese into a surprisingly addictive snack.
Whether you’re following a low-carb lifestyle or simply looking for a quick homemade cracker alternative, these crisps are worth trying.
Ingredients
One of the biggest reasons this recipe became so popular is its simplicity.
You’ll need:
1 block (8 ounces) full-fat cream cheese, softened
½ teaspoon garlic powder
For extra flavor, you can also mix in:
Everything Bagel seasoning
Smoked paprika
Onion powder
Fresh chives
Finely chopped rosemary
Freshly cracked black pepper
A sprinkle of grated Parmesan
Tip: Full-fat cream cheese works best. Low-fat or whipped versions contain more moisture and won’t become as crispy.
How to Make Cream Cheese Crisps

1. Preheat the oven
Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Line a baking tray with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Avoid wax paper since it isn’t designed for baking temperatures.
2. Mix the ingredients
Place the softened cream cheese in a bowl and stir in the garlic powder until completely smooth.
If you’re adding herbs or seasonings, mix them in now.
3. Portion the mixture
Using a spoon, scoop small portions onto the prepared baking tray.
Each scoop should be about half a tablespoon. You’ll end up with around two dozen crisps.
Lightly wet the back of a spoon or your fingertips, then gently flatten each mound into a thin circle.
The thinner they are, the crispier they’ll become.
4. Bake
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
Watch them closely during the last couple of minutes. Once the edges become a rich golden brown and the centers look set, they’re ready.
5. Let them cool
This step is more important than most people realize.
The crisps will still feel soft immediately after coming out of the oven.
Leave them on the baking tray for about 15 to 20 minutes. As they cool, they’ll firm up and develop their signature crunchy texture.
6. Enjoy
Once completely cooled, carefully peel them away from the parchment paper.
Serve them on their own or pair them with dips, sliced avocado, smoked salmon, soups, or charcuterie boards.
Cream Cheese Crisps are best enjoyed the day they’re made, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for several days.
If they lose some of their crunch, place them back in the oven for a few minutes to crisp them up again.
Cream Cheese Crisps prove you don’t need a long shopping list or complicated recipe to make an impressive snack.
Whether you’re trying to eat fewer carbs, want a quick appetizer, or simply enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, these crispy bites are an easy recipe you’ll probably find yourself making again and again. Once you hear that first satisfying crunch, it’s easy to understand why they’ve become a favorite in so many homes.
