When I went on vacation with my husband, Luke, I had no idea it would lead to a life-changing moment. I’d been planning this trip for months, eager to rekindle our relationship. But something felt off from the start.

Feeling betrayed, I posted some of our vacation pictures online with the caption, “Searching for a new travel companion.” My friends responded with support, and the message was clear.
Later, Luke apologized, but his words didn’t ring true. He even suggested I use my inheritance to lose weight for him. That was the final straw.
I realized my self-worth wasn’t tied to his approval. I calmly told Luke I was divorcing him. His shock and tears only confirmed that his priorities had always been skewed.
