Nick was born with a rare disability.
Nicholas James Vujicic is a motivational speaker. He was born with a rare disability called tetra-amelia syndrome, which means he has no arms or legs.
In his biography, Vujicic writes that his mom refused to hold him after he was born. Both parents walked out of the hospital.
The toes of one of his feet were fused, and he had surgery to separate them. In that way, he would use them as gingers to grab.
Vujicic had to face several challenges since he was born. He attended a regular school in Australia, and yet he was considered different. However, he did not give up. He lives by a motto his dad used to say to him: “You are a gift, just differently packaged.”
Nick fell in love with Kanae, and his life changed.
They met in 2010 at a small event in Dallas, where Nick was a guest speaker. Kanae had a boyfriend at the time. However, she noticed his rare qualities.
Vujicic says it was love at first sight for him. On the other hand, Kanae says there was immediate chemistry when their eyes met.
With the help of his friend, Tammy, he got closer to Kanae. They dated for some time, and in August 2011, he posted on Facebook about their engagement! The couple got married in February 2012.
Nick’s family got bigger!
The lovely couple grew their family bigger. He is a father to 4 children; two sons and two daughters. They all share a special bond between them, as seen in their family photos.
Kanae is a loving wife and a proud mom. She wrote: “Everything a mom could ask for has already been given to her. I love that I can confidently say that my kids adore me, and I simply couldn’t love them more.”
The couple is an inspiration for many!
The couple falls in love with each other every day. They want to set the right example and serve as an inspiration for many!
Kanae described their relationship on one of their anniversaries. She wrote on the post: “Just popping in to brag about my husband. He has so much on his plate, yet he gets me flowers first thing in the morning to say, ’Happy Anniversary, my love!’ I love him. We started the year with a wind whirl, we have seen loved ones go to heaven, and we have also welcomed new lives into this world. Ups and downs, but together through it all.”
