A Swedish model tired of being hit on at the gym is hiring a $3K/month bodyguard. Read more about her decision.

A Swedish model has recently spoken out about her experiences with constant harassment from men at the gym to the point where she is considering hiring a bodyguard. Despite her efforts to avoid unwanted attention and focus on her workout, she claims that men won’t stop hitting on her, leaving her feeling uncomfortable and unsafe.

In response, she is now seeking a $3,000-a-month bodyguard to accompany her to the gym and ensure her safety. This move has sparked a conversation around the prevalence of harassment in fitness spaces and the need for better measures to protect gym-goers.

The Swedish model is considering hiring an expensive bodyguard to ward off guys who keep hassling her due to her good looks.

Monica Huldt, 37, from Scottsdale, Arizona, encounters men hitting on her almost every day during her five weekly gym visits.

With 305k followers on Instagram, the Polish-born model finds it pleasant to be admired by guys. But unwanted advances at the gym while focusing on fitness are exhausting.

Despite considering the gym a secure place, the constant attention occasionally makes her uneasy due to past experiences with sexual harassment.

Monica is willing to spend a considerable amount of money to hire a bodyguard for her protection, as she declared in 2022.

“Working out and exercising is super important to me as I do it not just for my physical health but my mental well-being,” said Monica.

She continued: “I get hit on at the gym at least once every time I go, and I work out at minimum five times a week so it can get a bit draining.”

“For instance, once I was looking at my phone one day and this older guy came up to me and said, ‘Stop trying to text me, I didn’t bring my phone.’ I replied saying I wasn’t texting him and he then asked if I wanted to.” she described the time when a man asked her for her phone number.

The 37-year-old Swedish model seeks alone time free of awkwardness.

She said: “It does make me feel good to know they find me attractive as I didn’t have the best self-esteem growing up – but most of the time I just want to be left alone so I can get in and get out.”

“I would happily pay $3,000 a month for someone who does a good job and can scare people off. He wouldn’t even have to do that much work. Just coming with me to the gym and some photoshoots, I wouldn’t want to have him around 24/7,” added the model.

She recalls numerous terrifying and unpleasant incidents of unwanted attention at the gym that could have led to dangerous situations.

She said: “I have had a stalker before who somehow found my number. This guy would text me pretending to be other people, like the lady that does my eyelashes, a photographer I’ve worked with, and even a doctor. It was super creepy and I had to block all the numbers he would text from. I still have no real idea who he was, he was just this random man.”

In another terrifying incident, Monica was grabbed by a man who attempted to pull her towards him.

“Another time when I was still in Sweden I was waiting for the train and a guy started trying to chat me up. When I tried to leave because my train came he grabbed my leg as I was running up the stairs at the train station and tried to pull me into an alley. Thankfully people came and he ran off, but it was so scary. I shudder at what might have happened if he hadn’t been interrupted.” she said.

John, the Swedish model’s husband of 40 years, and Monica, who identifies as a “traditional wife,” are content as a couple, making any admirers’ efforts futile.

She says her husband wasn’t “intimidated” by other men pursuing her, but he is worried about her safety.

“John is pretty proud and always tells me he loves having such a hot wife. He is not intimidated at all although he does get worried when I go out by myself in the evening,” said Monica.
