10 Tips on How to Make the Year 2021 a Great One

Days from now, and we will be officially welcoming the year 2021. This year was surely full of surprises and challenges because of the pandemic that changed how we connect to the world. There might be some misses this year, but we have to move forward despite everything. We must grow, be stronger, and braver than ever because life is not done with us yet. Life is full of unexpected twists and turns, so we have to embrace everything with an open heart.

Here at Viral Strange, we listed down 10 tips on how to make the year 2021 a great one:

1. Be vaccinated.

As the world is looking for the best covid-19 vaccine, once it is available in your area, you have to take it because it is proven effective by Science. You have to trust because it does really work. It will protect you and your loved ones but do not forget to continue wearing a mask, maintain social distancing, and stay at home as much as possible. The virus is still around, so please follow standard health procedures.

2. Do not be afraid to start over a brand new chapter of your life.

People do really come and go, and that is one of the hardest pills to swallow. You cannot force people to be on your side always. You cannot make them stay as much as you want to. One thing that you can control though, is how you react to every situation presented to you.

When there is a bad chapter in your life, you do not actually have to burn the whole book. You just have to rewrite a better chapter with better people in it.

It might be scary to pick up yourself and stroke another journey, but you have to do it for your own good. It gets better as time passes by because you will be with people who really know what you deserve since day one.

3. Do not be afraid to speak up your truth.

Teach yourself to speak up when it is necessary. You need to amplify your voice because now is not the time to be afraid anymore. You have to stand up for your rights because not every day that someone has to do it for you. For as long as the truth is on your side, there is nothing should be afraid of.

4. Time for self-love.

This year, please focus on loving yourself because that is what you deserve. After a long of suffering from heartbreak, it is time to give your heart a break. Focus on becoming a better version of yourself. You do not need anyone to feel that you deserved nothing but the best. You have to become better because you want to do it for yourself, not for anyone.

5. Keep your life a little private.

A little privacy won’t hurt you. This time around, you don’t have to let everyone know your every move. You do not have to post everything on social media. Celebrate your successes privately at some point and you will appreciate it when you do it with people who truly care for you. You don’t have to say your every move because some people are not happy to see you winning in life.

6. Keep your circle small.

You do not need so many friends. Having few but genuine ones are more than enough. Those who will stay with you no matter what, but will not also tolerate your bad actions. You need friends who have the most genuine intentions to see you succeed and correct you without hesitations.

7. Accept that you are a work in progress.

You don’t have to be so hard on yourself for every failure that you make. Your journey will never be perfect, so you have to embrace every downfall and failure. To be great, you have to be open to mistakes because that is part of the whole process. By acknowledging that you are not perfect, you are able to embrace that you should be open to everything.

8. Stop being a people pleaser.

You don’t have to fake everything about you for people to like you. Quit pleasing people just for them to be on your side. You deserve people in your life who will accept every detail about you. When you keep doing things to meet their demands and expectations, you will only end up tired. At the end of the day, when people don’t like you, they will stick to that no matter what you do.

9. Be true to  yourself.

You don’t have to hold back from showing your authentic self because that is what the world deserves to see. By being true to who you are, you attract the right people in your life. You attract the right energies to keep you going. It is scary at some point to show your real skin knowing how people might judge you, but nothing is much sweeter than be loved and appreciated for who you really are inside and out.

10. Be kinder every day.

What the world needs nowadays are words of kindness and positivity. You have to speak nothing but kindness to other people. If your unsolicited opinion is nothing but detrimental to other person, please keep it to yourself. You have to make it a habit to put yourself first on someone else’s shoe before saying anything hurtful. Kindness will go far and will definitely make a difference.

One thing that makes life amazing is its uncertainties. We do not know what lies ahead, but we have to do what we need to do. We have to keep on believing that better days are always there no matter how hard storms are hitting us. We may feel that we are alone at times while fighting our battles, but we are not. We have to learn how to reach out to other people too. Life is never perfect at all. It does not matter how long you reached your goals.

At the end of the day, what is important are the lessons you learned in your quest to finding your purpose.
