A 20-year-old Florida woman, Ayla Gonzalez Salinas, has been charged with seven felony counts of lewd or lascivious battery after allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with a minor she met at a funeral in November 2024.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Salinas and the minor, whose age is reported to be between 12 and 16, began communicating via social media following their initial meeting. The arrest affidavit indicates that the two met multiple times in December 2024 to engage in sexual activities.
Salinas was arrested on April 28, 2025, and released on bond shortly after midnight on April 30.
Under Florida law, lewd or lascivious battery is a second-degree felony, punishable by up to 15 years in prison per count.
The case remains under investigation by local authorities.
