1. Guys want respect
Now, this is obvious. No relationship can function without mutual respect. Men do not ask for it but expect it. They need acknowledgement of their success and respecting them of who they are. Even better, reassure him in front of his friends or other people.
2. Admiration
Who would not want admiration from their partner? No need to fake it. Show him an appreciation for who he is and what he does.
3. Guys need your presence
Your companionship is vital for both of you. Guys need you by their side even when they do not say it to you. Be there for him and with him.
4. Encouragement
We are taught that men can figure everything out. However, they might need encouragement. They love the help, too. Empower and encourage him not only to be better but to believe and fulfil everything he has his mind on.
5. Guys want appreciation
Appreciation is something guys love to see and hear. Be thankful to him. Show him that. It will make him happy. Appreciate his efforts towards you or anything he gets his hands on.
6. Understand they need “guy time”
Guys need time to spend with the boys. We already know this, and some girls know it the hard way (conflicts?). Understand that he also wants and needs to spend time with his friends. He has an individual life and that does not mean he loves you less.
7. They want support.
Support, ladies! Support him to do what makes him happy. Be the supportive partner that he reaches out for a simple look in the eyes to get a good feeling and keep moving forward. Your support will boost his self-esteem.
8. Recognition
Guys have different roles in their lives. Know him. Know the roles and positions he has in life. He might be a brother, a son, a friend… He needs recognition.
9. Guys want to be desired
Guys want to feel your desire, too. They might not say it, but they need it. Flirting and some romance did not hurt anybody. Tell him how much you desire and love him!
