In a remarkable birthing experience, Rumer Willis shares her rapid dilation from 2 to 8 inches in just an hour, all while her water remained intact. Following her instincts, she found solace in the bathtub, with her doula noting the awe-inspiring journey.
“She was checking me and felt my water bag bulging, but still not popping, which was wild. And so, I was like, ’Well, should we break it?’ She goes, ’Well, you can.’ I’m like, ’What?’ I was like, ’Are you serious?’” Rumer Willis said in her podcast.
Rumer Willis decided to break her water by herself.
“I reached my finger up there, and I’m feeling, and it was crazy. I could feel this little bag — it feels like a water balloon, but with a bit tougher skin,” she said.
In the birthing process, she recalls the intense experience. With unmatched determination, she pushed with incredible force, swiftly bringing her baby’s head into the world. Without hesitation, another powerful push was delivered to the entire body instantly, without any pauses or delays.
In a remarkable moment, with her midwife and partner by her side, she experienced an exhilarating scene as the newborn arrived.
A cord delicately wrapped around the baby’s neck and body, reminiscent of a stylish prom sash, prompting the urgent plea, “Give me the baby! Give me the baby!”
She said: “It’s like, ’Oh, yes. This person who I’ve known and I’ve been waiting for forever, here you are.’”
