Thomas Matthew Crooks, a resident of Bethel Park, a village about 40 miles south of Butler, came into the spotlight on Saturday evening when he opened fire on Donald Trump during an outdoor rally near Pittsburgh.
Some X users immediately started investigating his background. According to social media posts, Crooks was a Republican. Both of Crooks’ parents are licensed behavioral counselors in Pennsylvania.
