She also expressed her contentment with taking a break from acting to savor the experience of motherhood. “I didn’t want to always be rushing off to work. It’s tough when you love your kids and want to be present for them, but you’re also trying to pursue a career,” Jennifer explained.
Along with her desire to spend more time with her family, Jennifer Love Hewitt has faced personal hardships, including the passing of her mother, Patricia, in 2012. Patricia died of cancer at the age of 67.
The loss of her mother deeply impacted Jennifer, and she candidly discussed how difficult it was to manage her grief. “I was just going through the motions of life without truly feeling anything,” she told People magazine.
Although Jennifer Love Hewitt has distanced herself from Hollywood, she hasn’t fully retired from acting. In 2018, she made her return to television by joining the cast of 9-1-1.
Even with her television comeback, Jennifer continues to prioritize balancing her career and motherhood. She has become more selective with her projects and aims to dedicate as much time as possible to her family.
