Miranda Lambert is once again facing backlash for her onstage behavior.
Fans disappointed
Known for her blunt approach, the country singer sparked controversy during her July 14 performance at the Montana Festival.
She scolded the crowd, drawing mixed reactions from attendees and online followers.
A video, which quickly went viral, captures Lambert dressed in a cowboy hat and tassel-trimmed denim, visibly annoyed as she addressed distracted audience members.
“I can see your head is not turned the right way, which is this way,” she said, motioning toward herself. Some fans cheered, but others were taken aback by her tone.
At one point, Lambert addressed those causing commotion in the crowd.
She jokingly said, “Fighting is not okay…and it’s always the girls. We get crazy!” before lightening the mood with a laugh and raising her cup in a toast.
When she realized her drink was empty, she called for a refill, shouting, “This looks like a good time for a drink y’all!” to ease the tension.
Reactions online were swift
“We left, as did LOTS of the crowd,” wrote one festivalgoer. Another remarked, “I stopped liking Miranda for this exact reason.” One TikTok user even commented, “Without your fans, you’d be some nobody working at Dairy Queen. Respectfully, just shut up and sing.”
Still, some fans appreciated Lambert’s unapologetic nature. One fan said, “Honestly, she was amazing. We were right up front and loved every second of it,” while another praised her “brutal honesty.”
This isn’t the first time Lambert has clashed with her audience. During a recent Las Vegas concert, she paused her song “Tin Man” to confront fans taking selfies, telling them to “put their phones away” and focus on the music. The incident divided opinions, with some cheering her outspokenness and others finding it awkward and excessive.
While some admire her straightforward style, others see it as confrontational and unnecessary. Regardless, she remains a polarizing figure, unafraid to speak her mind—even if it means risking her fans’ loyalty.
