1. Red-Cheeked Cordon-Bleu
The male bird is also called the “red-cheeked cordon-bleu” because of the red cheeks. On the other hand, females don’t have that much intense red color, hence they can be easily told apart. These birds are found in the east and center of Africa.
2. Rufous-bellied Kookaburra
This bird lives in New Guinea and is found deep in forests, unlike other species of the kookaburra.
The male is very aggressive towards defending their territory. These birds feed on insects.
3. Long-tailed Mountain Lady
We can find this distinguished species with red legs flying over the skies of Taiwan. Long-tailed Mountain Lady is known as a monogamous bird with one partner throughout its life.
4. Himalayan Monal
Coming from the forests of the Himalayas, this is the national bird of Nepal, where it’s called ”Daphne”. It is considered the state bird in Uttarakhand, India, too.
5. Eurasian Blue Tit
This tiny, cute bird can be found in many parts of Europe and the Middle East. There are a lot of subspecies found in the Balearic Islands in Spain, too.

A pelican’s lookalike bird, whose red color of its plumage becomes more intense with age. It’s the national bird of Trinidad and Tobago.
9. Blue-footed Booby
A rare unique species with blue feet, found between Peru and the Gulf of California. Their diet full of carotenoids is the reason why their legs are blue.
10. Helmeted Hornbill
This pretty large and strange bird is found in Indonesia and Malaysia. Helmeted Hornbill also has been added to the list of critically endangered species.
11. Coquerel’s Coua
This cute, blue-masked bird is found on the island of Madagascar, discovered by entomologist Charles Coquerel.
12. Amazonian Royal Flycatcher
This one is found in the Amazonian rainforest, and it feeds on flies or different flying insects. It has a beautiful, mostly red crest, hence its name.
13. Southern Carmine Bee-eater
This bird digs tunnels to build its nest.

19. Shoebill
A type of pelican species, with a beak in the shape of a shoe, hence its name.

20. Kakapo
This bird belongs to the parrots family. It’s found in New Zealand. It cannot fly but has a very developed sense of smell. Also, it’s considered one of the world’s longest-living birds.
