While the world’s tallest skyscraper took six years to complete at a cost of around $1.5 billion, Rockstar Games began laying the groundwork for GTA VI back in 2014.
Ten years later, the game’s estimated budget has soared to nearly $2 billion—almost eight times the cost of producing GTA V.
That puts it roughly $500 million over the Burj Khalifa’s price tag, with a development timeline stretching over 13 years.
Yet despite the staggering costs, early forecasts suggest that day-one sales alone could potentially recoup the entire investment.
