Being the center of attention of thousands of followers, Rivera went further.
She posted a bunch of thirst traps in front of her deceased father’s open casket!
She wrote in the caption: “Butterfly fly away 🕊 🇺🇸 Rip Papi you were my best friend. A life well lived.”
However, the post became a boomerang since it didn’t have the effect Jayne intended.
Her followers started criticizing her because of the off-putting feelings the post gave them.
Her post reached the Reddit community, where people were harsher with their comments calling her names such as “trashy,” “despicable,” “disgraceful,” a “b*tch,” and a narcissist.
People were upset about her choice to pose in a sexy way in front of her father’s casket. The viewers saw her doing as Rivera did not care about her father at all.
Jayne’s poor choice is known as “clout chasing” which means doing everything to get people’s attention. Even though the pics are not present anymore on social media, the effect was huge to the public.
It is expected that people in general, especially a daughter, to be mourning their deceased father. However, we should keep in mind people react differently to life situations. Not to justify Rivera’s action, but she probably felt desperate for positive attention, even though she chose the worst way.
To conclude, her behavior is disturbing, but let us hope that people will find other ways to get their followers’ attention at the appropriate time.
