In the summer of 2016, Kentucky teacher Malissa Sergent Lewis experienced this when she took an alternate route to work. In a bid to save time, Malissa chose a back road instead of her usual highway. Unbeknownst to her, this small deviation would significantly impact her day.
While driving on the secluded road, the Kentucky teacher noticed something peculiar: a trash bag that seemed to be moving. It appeared almost alive. Intrigued, Malissa decided to investigate. She noticed that the bag was intentionally tied tight.
Carefully, she opened a corner and was stunned by what she saw inside. The bag contained a puppy that immediately began wagging its tail when exposed to light. Malissa was astonished to find the puppy trapped and abandoned in the trash.
