Tyler Robinson, the man accused of assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk, was living with a transgender partner who was in the process of transitioning from male to female, a law enforcement source confirmed to The Post on Saturday.
The individual, whose identity has not yet been made public by authorities, is said to be fully cooperating with the FBI in its investigation into Kirk’s fatal shooting. The relationship was first reported by Fox News’ Brooke Singman.
Public records show that 22-year-old Lance Twiggs resided at the same address as Robinson. A relative of Twiggs confirmed to The Post on Saturday that “yes, they were roommates.” The pair was seen holding hands in public.
The family member, who requested anonymity, described Twiggs as the “black sheep” of their St. George, Utah, family but declined to speculate on whether the two men were romantically involved.
She added that she did not know her relative’s political views or whether Twiggs was in the process of transitioning to a woman, but noted that it “wouldn’t surprise her.”
The relative also confirmed that Twiggs had been questioned by police. The Post observed on Saturday that no one appeared to be at the $1,800-a-month townhouse believed to have been shared by Robinson and Twiggs.
A neighbor claimed that about two weeks ago, several people driving cars with out-of-state plates were seen coming and going from the home. “They did not give off a good vibe,” the neighbor said.
Kirk, 31, was fatally shot in the neck by a single bullet shortly after being asked a question on his “American Comeback” college speaking tour about transgender mass shooters.
“Do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters over the last 10 years?” attendee Hunter Kozak asked.
