Local outlet Montilla Digital reported that his funeral was held the following day. On Friday, December 6, in his hometown of Montilla, Spain’s Córdoba Province.
The ceremony took place at the Parish of San Francisco Solano. The exact cause of death has not been publicly disclosed.
De la Torre first revealed in June that he had been diagnosed with a serious illness and had begun treatment. He subsequently stepped back from public appearances to focus on his recovery.
His final social media post, shared on June 3, captured joyful moments from a trip to the Canary Islands.
There he attended the Desalia festival. He wrote: “The happiness of arriving in the Canary Islands, seeing your friends, grabbing a mojito, and singing until your voice breaks.” De la Torre also expressed gratitude to the event organizers for making the experience memorable.
