Rebel Wilson: I felt sexually harrased by Sacha Baron Cohen

Rebel Wilson alleges Sacha Baron Cohen sexually harassed her on the set of “Grimsby,” detailing uncomfortable incidents in her memoir, while Baron Cohen’s representative denies the claims.

Rebel Wilson has come forward with allegations against Sacha Baron Cohen, claiming she felt sexually harassed by the British comedian during their time on the set of the film “Grimsby” (known as “The Brothers Grimsby” in the US).

Wilson, who starred alongside Baron Cohen as his on-screen girlfriend in the 2016 spy action comedy, made these allegations public in her recently released memoir, “Rebel Rising.”In her memoir, Wilson recounts feeling uncomfortable and harassed by Baron Cohen’s alleged behavior throughout the filming process.

She claims that Baron Cohen repeatedly made inappropriate comments and requests, including suggesting that she go naked in future scenes despite it not being essential to the plot. Wilson alleges that Baron Cohen gave her “gross directions” and pressured her to wear smaller clothing items that emphasized her cellulite, leading her to feel objectified and uncomfortable on set.

One particular incident detailed by Wilson involves her being “lured” into an unfurnished concrete room with only Baron Cohen and his friends present. She alleges that Baron Cohen exposed himself and pressured her to perform a specific act for a scene, despite there being no director or film crew present.

Wilson describes feeling scared and uncomfortable during this encounter, stating that she believes Baron Cohen derives pleasure from making others feel uneasy. Baron Cohen’s representative has refuted Wilson’s claims, describing them as “demonstrably false.”

Wilson, however, insists that her intention is not to cancel Baron Cohen but to shed light on her alleged experiences in hopes of raising awareness and preventing similar situations in the future.
