Woman who filmed the cheating couple at the Coldplay concert reveals how much money has made from the viral video

Grace Springer, the woman behind the viral Coldplay concert video showing a cozy moment between Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot, has now shared whether she’s profited from the footage that captured the internet’s attention.

The clip, filmed during Coldplay’s performance at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, last week, sparked headlines after the CEO of Astronomer and his head of HR were shown swaying intimately on the giant jumbotron. Byron is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, making the moment all the more controversial.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin weighed in on the situation during the concert, joking, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy. Hope we didn’t do something wrong!”

Appearing on ITV’s This Morning on July 21, Springer told hosts Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond that she hasn’t earned anything from the widely circulated clip.

“I’ve actually made no money from the video itself or the views,” she said. “It’s not monetised.”

Springer admitted she initially hoped to spot herself on the big screen and simply wanted to “capture moments.”

“In the moment when I filmed it, I didn’t think much of it, but of course, everyone was kind of chattering. There was over 50,000 people at the concert, so it was a hot topic,” she explained.

“But it wasn’t until after the concert, where I was debriefing with my friends and I said ‘Let’s review the footage, let’s see if it really looks that bad.’ And I think it does.”

As for whether she regrets posting the clip—which has now garnered more than 125 million views—Springer expressed sympathy for those affected.

“I definitely feel for Andy’s wife Megan, his family and everyone else who has been hurt in the process.

But as I said, there was over 50,000 people and I’m not the only one that caught it on camera, so if it wasn’t me who uploaded it, I’m sure someone else would have.”

Speaking to LADbible last week, Springer emphasized why she felt it was important to share what she saw.

“It’s heartbreaking to go through something like that, but at the end of the day you need to be held accountable for your actions.

I really just feel for the partners. I’m hoping that it will give them the opportunity not to waste any more time with a partner that doesn’t give them the respect they deserve.

Unfortunately, I think a lot of women including myself has been through situations like that. I had people in my life that knew and didn’t tell me, so I would want to be told.

I don’t have much respect for cheaters, I think at the end of the day you have to do the right thing.

It doesn’t mean they can’t be good people moving forward.”

Following the video’s circulation, Astronomer launched an internal investigation into the incident and placed both Byron and Cabot on leave.

Days later, the company confirmed that Byron had officially stepped down from his position as CEO.

“As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met,” a spokesperson told Page Six on Saturday.

“Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted.”

Astronomer co-founder Pete DeJoy has since been appointed interim CEO.
