‘YOU’ star Penn Badgley reveals he reads the Quran before bed

Penn Badgley, the American actor widely recognized for his roles in Gossip Girl and Netflix’s You, recently shared a deeply personal aspect of his spiritual life: he reads the Quran and keeps a copy beside his bed.

In an interview with USA Today, the 38-year-old actor explained that he often meditates on Quranic verses before going to sleep.

Badgley described the verses as a source of reflection and grounding, adding that he approaches them with sincerity and contemplation.

In addition to his engagement with the Quran, the actor also follows a core spiritual practice of the Baháʼí Faith: the Long Obligatory Prayer, which he recites daily without exception.

Off screen, Badgley has been married to singer and actress Domino Kirke since 2017. The couple shares a four-year-old son and is currently expecting twins.
