  1. I was going to get tattoos to cover up the scars from my orif surgery on my ankle but the surgeon did such a good job and I took such good care of my skin that the scars healed and are completely invisible you would never even know the plates and screws were there without feeling them

    • Contact your local certified tattoo artist in your area. Be sure to read reviews before seeing them. Also ask about their sanitary system for keeping everything clean.

  2. They excellent and help people to not be so embarrassed. Especially on the beaches.

  3. These are all beautiful. It must be so freeing and confidence boosting to have the scars covered. I do wonder however how painful it might be. I know no tattoo is pain free but the skin in my old scars if very thin and sensitive.

  4. I think all of the tattoos were magnificent!
The before and after were amazing! You couldn’t tell that they had scares, because they are now beautiful ❤

  5. I have scars halfway down my right arm from almost losing my arm in a car accident almost 6 years ago this would be perfect for me cause I’ve always been self conscious about my scars….I died 3 times from that accident and my fiancee tells me to wear them proudly cause not many people can die 3 times and live to tell their story he says it’s my choice to cover them if I want them covered

  6. Incredible transformation!! Great job. I have several scars from 9 surgeries just on my stomach. I don’t have a tattoo and I’m sure it would cost too much for me. They are beautiful tho!

  7. They are amazing but I know from experience that tattooing over scar tissue is so painful , but worth it.

  8. I’ve got a big scar on my tummy off lazer removal gone wrong that I really want covering and this is exactly what I’ve thought to do it’s so nice to see how much it makes a difference

  9. Thank you so much for opening the minds of the world, with this magnificent art. Restoring self esteem to those who are drifting in a sea of the (so called) beautiful people is the greatest gift. Their beauty was always there, however now they can really SHINE!! Kellie from Canada

  10. I have a feather tattooed on the scar of my appendix surgery………….scar is invisible but I’ve got pregnant twice after it………now its changed to an ostrich feather or some other big *ss bird……..

  11. I have a huge scar on my leg, about 18″ X 5″ but can’t tattoo it as its a skin graft and the muscle is literally mm below the surface.

  12. The last one is two different feet!! I’m dying laughing! Those two feet look absolutely nothing alike, the size is different, bone structure is different, and skin tone is different. 2 of those things CANNOT CHANGE so they are obviously 2 different peoples feet!!

    • The toes are all alike in both photos. Any differences noted in the two photos are caused by the tat work, background, grooming, angle and lightening.

  13. Brilliant I’ve got a scar from a hip replacement so it’s give me ideas on how to cover mine up

    • Extremely painful. You are tattooing over damaged skin which if it is very serious, has taken a while to completely knit. The needle goes past the first layer of skin INTO the scar. Anyone who has even had a tattoo redone can tell you, it’s pretty bad.

  14. My neck and stomack has scars and I would like to get this kind of art. Who can I contact and how much would it cost to get this done to me?

    • I have serious large
large burns scars on my legs from knee down. My
incredibly capable artist said to me that I would be difficult to cover one graft as it’s behind my knee and the skin is loose and soft. Instead I opted to get a full back tattoo to celebrate the end of 3 years of burns treatment – an angel rising from flames.

  15. Fabulous way to transform something unattractive (if not downright ugly) into a thing of beauty.
If ever I have a scar to cover up, I would be happy to use this method.

  16. I had an accident on my longboard…i have an scar on my face like Kratos lmao, i don’t know what should I do but seeing all this powerful girls I feel motivated…but at the same time I like my scar I don’t feel ashamed …love ppl

    • Analyzing — same toe shape and relative positions, same toenails, and a little of the scar still shows at the very top of the tat.

    • Look up Willie’s Tropical Tattoo (Ormond Beach FL) artist Ron Gray. He has done beautiful 3-d looking nipples to full chest coverups. Look for “Artist Ron Gray/Daytona Beach”

  17. I never cared much for the tattoos of long ago, but they have become more creative and I love the idea if it doesn’t arm the thinner scarred skin. I wouldn’t mind getting a large scar on my leg covered if I could find a good artist or even a temporary transfer. These transformations are beautiful.

  18. I had three surgeries on my right breast to remove a tumor and reconstructive surgery. I had a big scar on my breast. 2010 I went to Lucky Draw Tattoo in Kennesaw and had a beautiful rose to cover it up

  19. The tattoos are are nice enough, but it looks like the almost the same tat on each person. Not enough range for me. Great idea though…

  20. I’m rather adverse to tattoos, particularly on women already blessed with beautiful skin. However, I’m all for ones like these that hide scarring or other unsightly ailments.

  21. For the first time in my life I think all tattoos are beautiful! You just might not know what’s under them!

  22. Wonderful tat artist to cover and beautify these various types, sizes and locations of scars. Especially the excellent disguising of the deep, wide and long scaring. I’m fair skinned with long thin scars on my knees and legs from knee replacements and a revision but my surgeon was precise, so they did all eventually heal flat and without any reddening. However, I’m a woman of a certain age and edema often causes my feet and legs to swell. This makes small blue veins and red capillaries form around my ankles. This is most unattractive and I’m going to see if any local tattoo artists have experience with and ideas for doing tats in this area of the body. Better run it by my doctor too.

  23. Wish I could tattoo over my scar. But unfortunately it has to get reopened every few years so the tattoo would get ruined

    • You never know you or the artist can come up wit something that when & if U have another surgery U hav to take away or Add more 2 the tattoo I think it’ll work

  24. That’s amazing how much better a tattoo of all things covers these scars and hopefully help the people that have been dealing with scars whether it be emotionally troublesome or just embarrassing for them. All of them looked beautiful and hopefully the people wearing them will also feel as beautiful as they look!!

  25. So beautiful rather then concentrating on the daily haunts of the negative, greeted by such beauty. I’m in. Any way of finding out where the tattoos were created? By whom? Congratulations ????

    • Hi, Ali. Below each picture is the source link directing you to the artist’s page. Thank you for reading us!

    • No they don’t if they are done properly….and those women are scarred for life and those days make them feel better about themselves…Do tats destroy a man’s looks???

    • Only if they go nuts, like getting sleeves or tats on their face or vulgar ones, too. Oh, that’s disrespectful!

    • I don’t think tattoos destroy looks. I’m not a fan of them but I think this is a beautiful way to disguise a scar especially if it’s something that the person is very self conscious about. I’m fortunate not to have any major scars but I think it’s only a major disfigurement that might make me tempted to use this solution.

  26. I have had multiple neurosurgeries, with numerous scars on my head, neck, back and stomach, this would cover a lot of them! At one time I was thinking of putting an open zipper on my stomach and another on my back scars and have them partially open and a design of the bones showing, and dark spots for holes on my head!

  27. You CANNOT tattoo over a scar and make it look it beautiful or even presentable. Per a professional tattoo artist!

    • I cannot get any tattoo artist ( I know some artists personally.
I was severely burned to my right foot and leg, ( a little to the left bottom foot and splashes on my hands and arms. I had skin grafts. Tattoo artist will not go over a skin grafts. Plus the skin they used was from my right upper outer thigh. They don’t touch the graft sites either. So, luckily my toes aren’t ugly. lol But burns they won’t touch. Unless they don’t care and just want the money.
I don’t even ask anymore because my friends that are artist said they wouldn’t touch me, if my own friends won’t than I highly doubt anyone would say yes.
Again, if they do they just want the money. Plus if anything were to go wrong, the artist might be liable for the problems?
I am getting more ink done I’m not sure where or when…..

  28. Please do not try to tattoo over a very serious burn scar. The skin may tear and you might have worse issues. I admit, I do love a lot of these, just please be safe. Tattooing over a scar is extremely painful as well.

    • The person who gets a tattoo cannot donate blood because it is contaminated. In Islam, tattooing is forbidden; for these reasons..!!!
