Shkova Farhad is a beauty, fashion, and travel influencer who shares with us her hair and makeup tutorials on social media. She has garnered more than 750,000 followers on her Instagram account. She made a post for the first time on her Instagram account in November of 2015. From the beginning, she loved and supported Huda Kattan’s HudaBeauty line.
We at Viral Strange had the chance to talk to the Make-Up artist Shkova Farhad, who is the “go-to-person” when it comes to creative make-up artists.
In this interview, I had a chance to sit down with Shkova and ask her a few questions. Here’s what she had to say.
1. What’s your back story?
I loved to paint, it was one of my hobbies, and over time that passion grew, and decided to do a little more than just painting, I started to paint on faces and was happy about it. This made me share my passion at first with the Kurdish that’s why I started with Instagram and YouTube.
2. Where did you come from, and where did it all start?
I was born on March 18, 1991, in Sweden and grew up in Germany but my origin is from Kurdistan Erbil. It all started in my home first with basic paintings and later pushing it more and more until I started doing make-up on real people, and was a thing I loved to do.
3. What’s your everyday work motivation?
That is a question I have been asked a lot, but people need to understand that I don’t feel like working because I love very much what I do and this makes it feel like I’m not working at all. It is my hobby and I am not tired of doing it that’s why I don’t need some kind of motivation to keep going. If you do something you love you will not work a single day in your life.
4. Do you consider yourself a creative person?
Yes, I think I am a very creative and inventive person, I like to try new things every day and I see something beautiful in everything and I highlight this beautiful thing with my creative thoughts and I start to expand it more, to add more colors, more positive ideas and make everything more bright and shiny.
5. What is your greatest weakness, as a Make-Up Artist? And what are you doing to improve on it?
There is a moment in our lives when we feel overwhelmed with our work and we don’t know how to deal with it as soon as possible, my greatest weakness is that I can’t really do several things at the same time. I am not a very good multi-task person, but I am working to improve this and what I do about it is that I constantly train myself every day.
6. What is your greatest strength, as a Make-Up Artist?
Because I love very much what I do, it makes me be very unique and creative in my line of work, and that’s why many people appreciate my creations and love my makeup tutorials. Also my constant persistent made me who I am today and I am very proud of what I have achieved in my life.
7. What are your goals as a model?
Being a unique and creative person is my greatest strength as a makeup artist, my goal is to reach out to every corner of the world with my work, and to help people learn this beautiful art that I love so much. I feel like I am on the right way when it comes to achieving my life goals.
