A mega-pyramid with 300 floors will be built in Dubai, dwarfs the pyramid of Giza

Social media is abuzz with excitement as people express awe over the construction of a massive pyramid in Dubai.

Move aside, Egyptian pyramids, because Dubai is poised to rival your grandeur. The city in the United Arab Emirates is set to construct a monumental pyramid, dubbed Ziggurat, which surpasses even the Great Pyramid of Giza in size. Originally unveiled in 2008, the ambitious plans for Ziggurat aim for construction to commence in 2021 and completion by 2028. Drawing inspiration from the ancient Egyptian and Mayan pyramids, Ziggurat will be an unprecedented marvel, towering over landmarks like the Burj Khalifa and the Downtown Circle at a staggering height of 1,200 meters.

Spanning an impressive 2.3 square kilometers and capable of accommodating up to one million people, Ziggurat promises to revolutionize sustainable living. Designed to be carbon-neutral, the structure will rely entirely on renewable energy sources such as solar panels, wind turbines, and natural elements.

Additionally, Ziggurat will feature its own innovative public transport system, eliminating the need for conventional cars and facilitating seamless movement both horizontally and vertically throughout the building’s 300 floors.

With a blend of residential, commercial, and recreational spaces, this mega-project conceived by Dubai-based group Timelinks represents a paradigm shift in urban design. Managing director Ridas Matonis envisions Ziggurat communities as self-sufficient hubs powered by clean energy technologies, signaling a bold leap towards a greener and more sustainable future.
