From a very young age, she loved dancing
’’People would line up outside the house to see her,’’ said Vitória’s mother, Wanda. Even though she had a difficult childhood, Vitória kept dreaming about becoming a dancer.
Her mother worried about Vitória fitting in
Her dance lessons started when Vitória was 5 years old. Later on, she started taking ballet classes, but Wanda, her mother, was worried about other peers accepting her.
Her talent left people speechless
She got more famous when she started showing people that she was able to do complex dance moves! Everyone was shocked in a good way and was impressed by Vitória’s talent. She posted pictures and videos of her dancing on Instagram and became more popular.
“Arms are just a detail for me.”
“For me, arms, they’re just a detail. I follow with my eyes as if they were there,” said Vitória. She is so talented on stage that people often forget about her disability.
She also took jazz and tap dance classes
Vitória Bueno alongside the classic ballet, takes jazz and tap dance classes, as well. She has won many competitions and also got placed 2nd in a talent contest.
She got the attention of many well-known names in ballet

“We are more than our disabilities, so we have to chase our dreams.”
“We are more than our disabilities, so we have to chase our dreams,’’ said Vitória. She encourages other people with similar disabilities to pursue their dreams. Vitória wants the ballet world to be more inclusive when it comes to people with disabilities.
Dancing makes her feel stronger
“I feel a very strong connection with my body when I’m dancing. Whether it’s ballet, jazz, or tap dance, I’m completely in the moment, as if nothing else matters,’’ said Vitória.
Vitória uses her feet to do her daily chores
Dancing helped Vitória to be stronger and develop flexibility. She brushes her teeth or does makeup and many other things by using only her feet.
’’I have always done everything using my feet since I was small. It was only as I grew up that I realized I didn’t have arms,’’ said Vitória.
She has supportive people around her
Vitória is determined and brave. However, she credits all the people in her life who supported her unconditionally: “What made me not to give up was the people who are always by my side and supported me when I decided I wanted to dance.’’
She wants to inspire all the people in the world and be the best ballerina she can dream of.
