A man went viral on TikTok for his money-saving method. He saves by not paying the 50 extra cents for cheese at restaurants. Instead, he brings his own slice. As bizarre as it might look, he thinks he can save money that way.
Jerrod Hampton (thatguyhamp10) posted a video in TikTok. The man showed other users how “cheap he is”. He had his cheese-less burger from the restaurant next to a pre-packaged slice of cheese in his kitchen.
“This is how cheap I am, y’all. I ain’t bullshitting. Y’all know what the hell goin’ on here,” said Jerrod.
Some fast food restaurants charge extra money for cheese on their burgers. The man thought to save money by not purchasing it and adding the cheese himself. The video reached more than 68K views, and many users applauded his method.
The users started to “compete” with comments on how “cheap” one could get.
If you are someone who often eats outside the house, those cents become lots of money if saved. Add-ons are becoming more expensive at restaurants nowadays.
Many fast food chains charge extra money for a slice of cheese, such as Burger King, Five Guys, or Wendy’s. MarketWatch shows that the average cost of adding cheese to a burger reaches $1.50.

I love to go out for breakfast at a popular chain. They charge $3.49 for a cup of their awful coffee. I’d like to stop for a better tasting coffee at a drive thru. Do I dare?E
