Referencing the concept of quantum immortality, @jolie.artist cites the work of American physicist Hugh Everett, who theorized that when we die, we move into alternate realities or “other worlds.”

Explaining the Afterlife Theory

Jolie likens the experience to a Mandela Effect, suggesting that while we don’t recall our previous existence, we may retain faint memories. She adds, “It’s been 65 million years since the asteroid allegedly wiped out the dinosaurs. Are we to believe no other asteroids have wiped us out since? My theory is that Earth keeps getting destroyed, and our consciousness transfers to parallel universes—over and over.”

Some TikTok users resonated with Jolie’s idea. “Yesss! I’ve thought about this before,” one person commented. Another added, “I know I’ve lived and died before, but I’m struggling to remember the details.”

Others were less comfortable. “BYE, NOT TODAY,” wrote one user, while another admitted, “I’m freaking out because you’re eerily making sense.”

First-Hand Afterlife Experiences

While we can’t definitively know what happens after death, many theories—both scientific and spiritual—have been shared. Some people who have had near-death experiences report out-of-body sensations or vivid visions.

Anita Moorjani

One notable example is Anita Moorjani, who chronicled her near-death experience after a 4-year battle with lymphatic cancer. While in a coma, she reported a heightened awareness and the presence of her deceased father. She described an overwhelming sense of love and peace, feeling no pain for the first time in years. “It was so beautiful, I didn’t want to return,” she said, but her father told her it wasn’t her time.

A Little Girl’s Experience

Eight-year-old Annabel Beam, diagnosed with severe digestive disorders, had a life-changing event after falling from a tree. After being unconscious for hours, she claimed to have visited Heaven, where she sat on Jesus’s lap. “He told me, ‘When the firefighters get you out, you’ll be okay,’” she recalled. “I wanted to stay, but he said I had things to accomplish on Earth.”

Although what happens after death remains a mystery, it’s a subject that sparks curiosity for some and discomfort for others. Regardless, death is inevitable, and contemplating various possibilities offers a way to cope with the unknown.
