Trends Everybody Followed 10 Years Ago

Time goes by fast. One day, you post a mug on Instagram, and the other day, you enroll in the latest trends with short videos.

Trends are something that comes and goes with time. What was trendy yesterday is being considered lame today. The world is evolving and changing every day.

Viral Strange prepared a list of trends that almost everybody followed in the past. Some of them are funny, and others are ‘ew’.

A few years ago, women were obsessed with having thigh gaps. The famous triangle! They even followed diets to get slimmer! The gap was considered a beauty standard at the time. Today people are more interested in having good physical and mental health.

The hours spent playing this game! All the users were kind of obsessed with it. The number of ‘farmers’ reached millions. Young and adults harvested fruits and veggies, ran a household, etc. Today, people are keener on strategic games.

In the 2000s, super thin eyebrows were the most trendy thing! Unnatural brows are not considered cool today, though. Some years ago, bushy eyebrows became a trend. Later on, the micro-bladed ones. As trends change, natural eyebrows stay in the game.

Growing up, I was made fun of for my big, bushy brows. Then seemingly overnight suddenly, I was getting complimented for not having “thin, overplucked brows.” I actually thought I was being mocked, that’s how sudden it was. It taught me a valuable lesson about trends and being ‘fashionable.’ It’s all made up, do what makes you feel happy.© Bomdiz / Reddit

Years ago, people used to post everything they did on social media. A pic of the mug, their meals, or the blurry window with a border. LOL. Even today people share their daily life, but they plan the posts using a strategy to make them more attractive and to reach more people.

Getting small funny tattoos was a trend too. The mustache tattoo on the finger was a favorite. Today people have lots of creative ideas they get as a tattoo, and often with a meaning behind them.

Freckles were not admired once upon a time. Many kids even got bullied because of them. However, nowadays freckles have become a trend and you can even find DIY beauty products.
