Director Todd Phillips took to Instagram to unveil the first glimpse of actors Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, who will star in his upcoming film ”Joker: Folie a Deux”. This announcement marks Phillips’ return with a sequel to his 2019 hit.

Shared on Valentine’s Day, three images from the movie showcase the dynamic between Gaga and Phoenix’s Joker characters. In the first image, they stand together, while the second captures an intimate moment between them, and the third depicts them dancing on a terrace.
Accompanying the photos, Phillips added the caption, ”Hoping your day is full of love. 10.4.24.” Phoenix, known for his exceptional portrayal of Joker in the original film, is set to reprise his role, while Gaga joins the cast in a role inspired by Harley Quinn.
Phillips, renowned for his work in films like the ”Hangover” series, ”Due Date”, and ”War Dogs”, breathed new life into the classic DC Comics character with the origin story that became a blockbuster success. The original film follows the transformation of Arthur Fleck, a failed clown, into the iconic criminal figure, Joker.
