The White House didn’t choose silence when it came to the fact that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce officially tied the knot, in what many fans are already calling one of the biggest celebrity weddings in recent memory.

The star-studded celebration took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City, drawing hundreds of high profile guests from the worlds of music, sports, film, and television.

The couple, who first went public with their relationship in 2023, announced their engagement in August 2025.

Less than a year later, they exchanged vows during an extravagant ceremony that reportedly welcomed around 1,000 guests.

Actor Adam Sandler, who recently worked alongside Kelce in Happy Gilmore 2, officiated the ceremony. Both the bride and groom wore custom Christian Dior haute couture paired with Christian Louboutin shoes for the occasion.

Not long after news of the wedding spread online, the official White House social media account shared a post that many interpreted as a jab at the newlyweds.

The account uploaded an edited image of Madison Square Garden that replaced the venue’s purple “JUST MARRIED” signs with large displays reading, “TRUMP IS YOUR PRESIDENT.”

The caption simply read, “IT’S HAPPENED!!!”

The post quickly gained attention, especially given President Donald Trump’s history with Swift. The singer has publicly supported Democratic candidates over the years, while Trump has openly criticized her. During the 2024 election cycle, he famously posted the message, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT.”

The wedding attracted an impressive lineup of celebrities from across the entertainment industry.

Among those reportedly in attendance were Selena Gomez, Sabrina Carpenter, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Zoë Kravitz, Ed Sheeran, Jack Antonoff, Margaret Qualley, Suki Waterhouse, Robert Pattinson, Hugh Grant, Dakota Johnson, Jason Sudeikis, Jimmy Fallon, Camila Cabello, Karlie Kloss, Josh Kushner, Maren Morris, and Benson Boone.

Travis Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, attended alongside his wife Kylie. Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was also present after previously joking that he hoped he would still fit into his tuxedo by the wedding day.

One of the biggest talking points surrounding the guest list was who did not attend.

Blake Lively, once one of Swift’s closest friends, was reportedly not invited following their highly publicized falling out. Ryan Reynolds was also absent.

Privacy was clearly a top priority throughout the celebration.

Guests, vendors, and security personnel were all required to follow a strict no-phone policy, making it nearly impossible for photos or videos from inside the venue to leak online.

The couple also asked attendees not to bring wedding gifts.

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle revealed that guests had been instructed to bring “absolutely no gifts,” although he admitted he still planned to surprise Kelce with an old collectible coin.

Instead of accepting presents, Swift and Kelce donated $26 million to several charitable organizations. The donations reportedly supported City Harvest New York City, Food Bank for NYC, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Feeding America, the ASPCA, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, and MSK Kids, the pediatric cancer program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Madison Square Garden looked dramatically different for the wedding.

The iconic arena was redesigned with grass-covered flooring, decorative canopies, and elegant fabric installations hanging from the ceiling, creating the atmosphere of an upscale garden party.

Festivities reportedly began with a cocktail hour on the arena’s sixth floor at 4:30 p.m. before guests moved into the ceremony and later the reception.

According to reports, the celebration was expected to continue well into the early hours of July 4, bringing an unforgettable end to one of the most talked about celebrity weddings of the year.
