Not everything negatively affects our health. Some of these changes are beneficial and train our bodies to keep up with cold temperatures.

1. You start licking your lips.

Cold temperatures make your lips drier. Then, you start licking them without knowing that the saliva leaves your lips drier than before. It can make your lips chapped because of the harsh enzymes.

2. Sensitive teeth hurt.

That sharp and piercing pain when cold outside can affect sensitive teeth because the air reaches the nerves. It makes your teeth hurt. Try to breathe through your nose or wrap a scarf around your mouth.

3. Blood sugar levels may increase.

In winter, your body releases more stress hormones which may increase blood sugar levels. Doctors suggest working out at home to keep sugar levels at bay.

4. Losing weight is easy.

Some people gain weight in winter, and others burn more calories. Cold temperatures make our body produce more heat and burn extra energy.

5. Getting more wrinkles.

Our skin is more vulnerable during the cold season. The skin dries out, and that is why wrinkles are easier to get.

6. Worse eyesight.

Your eyesight can worsen during wintertime because the sun reflected through snow can damage your eyes more. Also, the cold air can affect the thin layer of tear film that covers our eyes and make them drier. Doctors suggest using artificial tears.

7. Dehydrated more often.

It is common not to drink much water in winter. Since we drink less water, we tend to become more dehydrated. Drink the amount needed daily.
