Despite his busy schedule—sending rockets into space, advancing electric cars, and developing brain chips—Musk evidently still finds time for his personal life. If his frequent engagements on X (formerly Twitter) didn’t already suggest as much, the arrival of his 12th child certainly does.
Musk confirmed to Page Six this week that he became a father for the 12th time earlier this year. However, he emphasized that the newborn’s arrival was no secret. The family simply chose not to make a public announcement.
In response to claims that he was keeping his latest fatherhood under wraps, Musk said: “As for ‘secretly fathered,’ that is also false. All our friends and family know. Failure to issue a press release, which would be bizarre, does not mean ‘secret.’”
Musk shares his youngest child with Shivon Zilis, with whom he also has twins, Strider and Azure, born in November 2021. The name and sex of the new baby have not yet been revealed.
This recent birth follows the arrival of three children with singer Grimes, their third child arriving just one month after Strider and Azure.
Musk, who has previously expressed concerns about population decline, reiterated his views while discussing his new arrival with Page Six. He said: “Many countries are already well below replacement rate, and the trend is that almost all will be.”
